Mariana Carmona is a researcher at DivAv with an MSc degree in Biochemistry from New University of Lisbon (Portugal). She has expertise in several spectroscopic techniques, analytical chemistry and enzymatic assays. More recently has been involved in scientific projects that assess seafood quality and safety, e.g. the assessment of oxidative stress under climate change exposure, development of methods for biogenic amines determination, to evaluate the risk or benefit of deep frozen vs fresh seafood consumption.
